Itokine 50mg Tablet works by increasing the movement of food in the digestive tract (especially the stomach and intestines), thus promoting the emptying of the stomach. It also works on the region in the brain that controls vomiting.

Indication of Itokine 50mg Tablet

Pharmacology

Itopride Hydrochloride acts as a potent dopamine-2 antagonist and acetylcholine esterase inhibitor. By inhibiting dopamine D2 receptors and acetylcholinesterase, it increases acetylcholine concentrations. This action enhances GI peristalsis, increases lower esophageal sphincter pressure, stimulates gastric motility, accelerates gastric emptying, and improves gastro-duodenal coordination.

Dosage & Administration of Itokine 50mg Tablet

The usual adult oral dose is 50 mg of Itopride Hydrochloride taken three times daily before meals. Dosage may be adjusted based on age and symptoms. Itopride Hydrochloride is not recommended for use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age. Elderly patients should be closely monitored for adverse reactions.

Interaction
